Thank you to Edie Lush, the host of Hub Culture at the World Economic Forum in Davos, for inviting me to speak about Culture for Climate through Music, Architecture and Regenerative Urbanism. I had the opportunity to speak about my research and projects on Blue Futures including the Blue Gulf Research Initiative and the Desert Bridges Blue project which we recently performed in Oman at the Royal Opera House Muscat in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland in Oman and H.E. Ambassador Thomas Oertle with Swiss and Omani musicians.
You can watch the interview below.
I was blessed to attend a concert by YoYo Ma under the falling snow at the historic Schatzalp hotel, which is where I met Edie Lush and the team from Culture Hub. It was magical to listen to him playing for the mountains and the glaciers, and to reflect on how I am bringing my work on climate and regenerative urbanism into my music.
The concert was organised by the Arctic Base Camp and supported by Andre Hoffman - and we had the opportunity to chat with Andre and remember when I sang a capella at a Building Bridges event in Geneva where he was speaking on Sustainable Finance and the relationship to Nature and Climate.
